Online Practical skills in Histology
In today's fast-paced and interconnected world, online training has become the heartbeat of
successful training centres. This course has been designed so that students can access the
training they need without having to take time off work. This will also benefit those who live
far and can not travel to our laboratory for practical lessons.
How can you train Histology online? Is it not practical, you may ask.
Yes and No. Histology requires practical skills to an extent however most areas can be
covered through theoretical knowledge. With our online session we are able to use videos
produced in our own laboratory to show the practical side with a deep explanation. You can
use these videos to understand how we can practically implement certain techniques.
Course Overview
Histology procedures involve the preparation and staining of biological tissues for microscopic examination. At Biomed Lab Training we encourage students to learn the entire process of histology. This can be broken down into the following:

Who Can Attend?
This course is designed for Biomedical science graduates and those who are currently working in a laboratory but unable to train, offering a deep dive into histology from sample to slide This course is designed for those who have a busy schedule who can not attend the practical session or simply wish for a cheaper alternative. We will always encourage practical training but understand our students needs and requirements.
Prerequisites
The course is designed for Biomedical Sciences graduates and therefore we require students to have either a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences or a diploma to the same standard. We can also accept students from a science related degree but ask they are aware of prerequisites required to become a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
Certification
Unfortunately, we do not offer a certificate for these sessions.
